Hovol Holds Problem-Solving Training
On the afternoon of May 15, 2026, Hovol invited Mr. Bao Dong, an automotive mold expert from FAW Tooling, to conduct a special training session titled “Problem Solving: Thinking and Methods.” More than 60 key employees from relevant departments attended the training to improve their ability to identify, analyze, and solve problems in daily work.
During the training, Mr. Bao focused on practical challenges in manufacturing and management. He explained the essential difference between a “phenomenon” and a “problem,” helping employees move beyond habitual thinking and build a more structured problem-solving mindset.
He introduced four key ways to accurately identify problems: comparing actual results with targets, treating abnormalities as warning signals, listening to feedback to identify pain points, and predicting potential risks in advance. These methods are especially important for manufacturing companies that require stable quality, precise processes, and efficient project delivery.

Based on years of industry experience, Mr. Bao emphasized the principle of “Genchi, Genbutsu, Genjitsu,” which means going to the actual place, checking the actual object, and understanding the actual facts. Through real case studies, he guided employees to trace problems step by step and identify root causes. He also stressed that problem analysis should first examine system-level gaps rather than simply blaming individuals.
For problem solving, Mr. Bao proposed three key lines of defense: ensuring employees can do things correctly, know how to do things correctly, and consistently do things correctly. This requires improving basic working conditions, strengthening employee training, and strictly controlling process quality.
